Introduced by Jesuit priests in 1750, coffee cultivation thrived in Guatemala’s southern regions around the Sierra Madre. The fertile soil produces coffee with vibrant, spicy notes and complex flavors.

Guatemala’s SHB coffee is celebrated for its full-bodied richness and balanced acidity. The “Elephant” bean, notable for its large size and quality, is highly prized. Regions like Antigua and Huehuetenango benefit from volcanic soil, which enhances the coffee’s excellence.
